Ha! Exams are over. (well, ca2 is) Now it is the september holidays. Though it is not long, it does give us time to rest our brains. (provided or parents don't nag & nag & nag & nag.........You get the picture.) They'll keep asking us to study & study for sa2. Lets hope not! For now, we can do whatever we like so we will feel fresh and not over-stressed from homework(the vicious soul- eater) Hope all of you have fun! (or at least a nag/homework(not possible!) holiday)

Urm.........? I don't really under stand the quote on Mrs Tay's blog. I am not much of a quote person but certain ones are very interesting. Mrs Tay, would you mind explaining the quote?

A poem about my neighbour.

I once lived next door,
from a very friendly guy.
He welcomed us on our move in
and cakes he would buy

The days past by,
our bond grew
He invited me over
and he would give me soup that he'd brew

My neighbour had a little dog
who was actually quite cute and tame
I played with that pup almost everyday
Fetch was he main game

Saying goodbye is really hard
Especially since our bond is so tight
I am getting over the pain within me
Though sometimes it can't help but bite

My neighbour didn't die of sickness
Neither was it an accident
He died of oldness with no pain
But I will always remember him that I am confident

My birthday

yay! I am finally 11. Well technically, I am 11 on wednesday, but who cares? That is just two days away. Sadly, I have to run 1.6km on the same day. Well, lets just hope luck is on my side.
I have so many things I don't know what what to get. maybe a new phone......

National day parade (full dress rehersal)

'Stand up, stand up for Singapore......' Finally, the wonderful NDP is drawing near. I went to watch the full dress rehersal last saturday (11th July 2009) At the famous floating platform in Marina Bay. Well, it was really something. There is so much to say that I do not know where to start. So, I will start at the end. This is not really part of the show. Lets just say we had a...suprise at the end of the show. Those who were there would never have been that wet (except when they were showering or swimming) Right, you guessed it-RAIN. We were DRENCHED!!! Even Mr Teo (deputy prime minister and minister of defence) stood in the rain. Even that downpour could not stop as from singing the national anthem proudly.

Now, what were the real performances? Well, there were four host, and a guy who was sort of like the narrater for the 'ten chapters', which was what the parade was based on. Oh, and we cannot forget the big eye. There were the singing and dancing performences. There were people inside the 'boxes'! The people were climbing up thoses boxes (which were closed by then'. My favorite was the red lions. There were ten in all. But the most spectacular were obviously the fireworks. There were even ones in the shape of a heart. Then some people rolled huge red balls down. Everyone tried to touch it. I actually did! There were many performences on the military, navy and air-force. Lets not forget the marching contigon! Before the performences, I already put on all the tatoos. It was in the fun-pack that was given to us. Although many people complained, I did not really mind getting a pink bag. What I minded was the spicy dinner. I ate the bread but not the meat inside it. I was grateful to my mother for packing bit of homemade sushi for me.

Despite the rain and the spicy dinner, the NDP parade was very fun. (who cares if it is not the real thing?)

Just to make things clear.

Urm.......... Just to make sure that everyone knows a toy poodle is a breed. The dog is Real!!!

Ancient times........ Good or bad?

If you ask me to answer this question from my perspective, my answer would be bad. If a girl or woman can't make desicions, it would not be a fair society. I would like to own property and I would hate it if I don't get a say in anything. In modern times, some of the most respected people and best actresses are women. So in conclusion, I would not like living in ancient times.

That awsome BBQ

Yesterday, we hosted a BBQ+Squash party. It was so fun! We played a bit of squash and then ate till we died. The menu was.....chicken wings and drumsticks, satay(chinese and malay flavour), corn, sausages, otah(for the adults cause the children, especially me, hate it), drinks(duh!!!) and MARSHMALLOWS(yeah!). The main course was bee hoon. Then, played some more. After that, the children (Only Michelle, Bernyce and me left because it was 11pm) shared jokes while the adults talked till they forgot about us. When adults are like that, DO NOT distract them, so you can play longer. I slept at 12.30 A.m

A movie,shopping and dinner

Well, I went to watch Hannah Montana the movie that day. I was a comedy and I laughed my head off. My mother took my sister and I shopping after that. I managed to get a really nice top for $1o. Is that cheap or expensive? Anyway, we went for dinner after that. I wasn't really hungry after all that popcorn but I managed to eat some rice. All in all, it was it was a good day.

My dog, I mean puppy

My awsome puppy is almost two! I want to buy her this collar that has her name(Star) on it but my mother said she already has a collar and doesn't need another one. she said I should save my money. Well, I will still buy Star another toy. A ball, mabye?

Help!

My dear sister saw my previous post. She is now getting the microphone to torture me. Someone get here now and please save me from my misery.(But sometimes her songs are really quite nice, so once in a while is okay, but not always!)

By the way, my sister is in P2.

My noisy sister

Ever since my father bought that microphone(real), my sister has been singing non-stop. It's cute, but hearing ten songs being repeated a million times a day isn't exactly my idea of fun and relaxation during the holidays! Lets hope she gets tired soon.(Though I wouldn't get my hopes up)

P.s. The microphone is like the ones teachers use.

And the winner is..................

ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won! So now I get a third place trophey, bronze and three squash balls. I guess the sign is practice more. Anyway the bronze trophey is unfair. 4th place gets bronze too. Why couldn't they use black or something. Now people might think I am 4th when I totally deserve 3rd place!

Squash= Ahhhhhhhhhh

AHHHHHHHHH!!!! I lost!!! This is probably kinda confusing for all those who are really NOT squash wannabees. Let rewind. Okay. So I have been going for a squash competition. The category is p5 & p6 Girls. There are 2 groups. A & B. I am the champion of group be. YEAH. But in the semi-finals, I lost. Today, I will play for the 3rd and 4th placing. Hope I win!

P.s. Squash is a SPORT, NOT like squashing a Mosquito.

Tai Wan

Hey everyone! Let me tell you about the things I did in Tai Wan.

Tuesday: When I got there I felt a huge rush of happiness. Tai Wan isn't just another country. It's more like my second home. Scince my grandmother's house was still renovating, I stayed at my aunt's house. The second I stepped foot in the house, my three cousins came running to hug me. The twins are three and their older brother is four.

Thursday:My grandma brought the whole lot of us (5 families, including herself and my grandad) to the mountains.We drove for four hours to get to the hotel, which was horrid and had a million flies.

Friday:To make up for the horrid hotel, my grandma moved us to the best hotel in the mountains with the royal group label. It was WONDERFUL!!!!

Sunday:We returned to my aunts's house.

My favourite place in the world!!!

My favourte place in the world is my home. I love it just because of what it is. Its where I live, play and sleep! My family members are all there and that gives me a safe and comfortable feeling. Everyone needs a shelter. Be thankful that you have one.

Being Creative

Creativity can be taught. If you are not creative, you can learn to be creative.
Its really not something you can be born with. That wouldn't really be fair.
No famous artist was born with creativity. He/She learned it.

Courtesy

Courtesy means to be polite and have respect for other people. It also means you care for others. for example, if you cannot make it to a certain place, but have already told your friend you will come, having courtesy means you will call your friend and tell him/her you will not go.

Courtesy is very important and we should all try to display it.

School Holidays

The school Holidays was a good break for me. I always feel exhausted by the ed of the week. So, after studying for 10 weeks, I was ready sleep for a year. However, it was a pretty busy holiday. My cousins came from Tai Wan. Almost everyday, we swam in the pool, went out to play and even went shopping. Well, the adults shopped. My cousins are all only 4, 3 and 2 this year. Despite the busy days, I really enjoyed my cousins day. Not only did my cousins come, I took part in a squash competition and managed to get a bronze medal. Also, I went to Emily's house for a project. On the last day of the holiday, I just relaxed and did some reading.

Family is important

I really don't think any object is more precious than your family.
I have this habbit of worrying my head of and telling my parents and
sister to be careful. In case you are wondering, my dog is part of
my family.

Not really busy...........

The truth is, I am not really busy.
Sometimes, I get really bored.
I day dream that when I have my own room,
how I will arrange it.
I also dream that my cousins from Tai Wan will
move here. If they don't, I am still not moving to TaiWan.
My home is Singapore.

Battle Box

P5 Camp

Dear Mrs Tay,

I agree that p5 camp was a great experience for me. You are right

to say the food is awful. For breakfast, the food was so terrible that I

threw the food away and skipped breakfast on both mornings.

Although I disliked the food, the activities were very fun. I especially

liked the rockwall. You were lucky to have got a chance to have a go

on the flying fox. I hope that if there was another camp, I could try that.

Mrs Tay, when I saw you at camp, your face was very red. Did you put

blush or was it the sun?

Hobbies

Hey Mrs Tay!

How are you!

My hobbies are reading, playing with my dog and cousins, hanging out with my friend and shopping!

Here is a sad story:

When I went to Tai Wan, my grandmother fell really sick.
Turns out she is allergic to a certain medicine. Also, she ate to much medicine
when she didn't need it.More than 10% of here insides are burnt.
My mum had to stay in Tai Wan to take care of her. I miss my mother so much! Hope Grandma
gets well soon!

Sressful? Not really

Hey everyone like my new blog? It's totally cool. Here is my reply to Mrs Tay's question:

Dear Mrs Tay,
I don't really feel stressed.
I think it's because my mother doesn't belive in torturing children by sending them to a million classes a day. I don't have a single tuition class.I do have piano and squash(a sport)lessons but those were my choices. I'm reall happy my mom feels that way.

My parents belive that the best you can do is the best you can do. All they want from me is my best.
I have some friends who are stressed. I hope they will be able to relax more in the future. The best thing to do when you are stressed is take deep breaths. repeat it a few times. I will make you feel much more relaxed.
